Étude de collage dans les contacteurs pour application aéronautique

Abstract : In the aeronautical field, the current trend is towards the electrification of various components that were previously pneumatic or hydraulic. The electrical networks of aircraft must be adapted to provide ever greater power. In particular, contactors play a major role in these networks. They must ensure that the power is switched off and on. An important phenomenon that can jeopardise the reliability of these contactors is the dynamic welding of electrical contacts. This welding is the result of the bounce arcs created during the contactor closure. A test bench has been developed to simulate the mechanical bounce to reproduce these arcs in a controlled manner. Four materials (Ag, undoped AgSnO2, AgSnO2 In2O3 and AgSnO2 Bi2O3) were tested with this test bench to compare their welding behaviour at 115 Vrms voltage and 750 Arms current, for different frequencies 50 Hz, 400 Hz and 500 Hz. The frequency of the voltage can have an effect on the characteristics of the weld, which can result in a change in the characteristics of the arc, in particular its re-ignition. This re-ignition implies that the total arc time remains equivalent to the mechanical rebound time, except when using AgSnO2 Bi2O3 electrodes where the arc takes some time to re-ignite and the total arc time is shorter. In conclusion, AgSnO2 Bi2O3 contacts showed the lowest welding forces and rates, especially at 500 Hz.
