Demonstration of a low loss and ultra highly nonlinear AsSe suspended-core chalcogenide fiber

Résumé

We report a suspended-core chalcogenide fiber with a record Kerr nonlinearity of 31 300 W-1km-1 and an attenuation of 4.6 dB/m. The dispersion, the effective area and the number of modes propagating in the fiber are investigated.
