Kidney cancer in 2010: Drugs, surgery and survival in RCC.

Renal cell carcinoma (RCC) is the most common type of kidney cancer in adults and treatment usually involves surgical removal of all or part of the kidney. Furthermore, because of the widespread use of abdominal imaging techniques, RCC incidence has been rising consistently for the past 20 years and tumors are now discovered at an early stage.
