Résumé

This paper describes the clinical investigation centres devoted to technological innovation. Their objectives and the topic areas are detailed and also the main actors involved in the process of socio-economic development (research and industrial grants, certification organisms, clinical evaluation, etc.). An overall tour of the present instruments at the disposal of academic laboratories and companies is therefore made. National and international contextual elements of health technologies are provided as well.
