Polyatomic ions, branching ratios and hot molecules
Abstract
A discussion is given of the reason for the sharp fall-off obsd. in Dissociative Recombination (DR) cross sections above about 0.1 eV and of the need for accurate branching ratios being used in complex models of mol. ion chem. New measurements from TSR have shown that stored ions are not as cold as they were once thought to be and a new expt. facility is presented.
