Données sur le régime alimentaire de Cercocebus albigena albigena dans le Nord-Est du Gabon
Abstract
Eighteen stomach contents of Cercocebus a. albigena have been studied. Mangabeys are primarily fruit eaters (83 %) ; leaves and flowers are eaten in small quantities and not always present in the stomach contents. Ants are the major animal prey eaten and are found in all the stomachs. There is no strong seasonal varia tions in the diet. However leaves and flowers are only eaten abundantly during some months of the year. During the main dry season, arils of Myristicacae make up 40 % of the diet.
