Abstract

Organic triiodide salts dispersed in PVC, PMMA, or other polymers exhibit low electrical conductivity in dry films. Exposed to organic vapors, the film conductivity rises by as much as 10(6). The magnitude of the change is compound-specific, providing a tool for qualitative analysis.
