Conformal phased array in a small conical shape for communications at 5.2 GHz

Abstract : This paper presents a compact conformal phased array in a conical shape designed at the frequency of 5.2 GHz. The radiating elements and the beam forming network are described. A prototype is fabricated. Numerical and experimental results are compared and found to be in good agreement. The proposed phased array is very attractive for data exchanges with spinning flying systems. © 2016 IEEE.
