Fast Antenna Testing via Regularization Procedures based on Compressive Sensing

Résumé

Antenna testing consists in finding potential defaults from radiated field measurements. Two regularization procedures based on compressive sensing are proposed to solve efficiently this inverse problem. With the a priori knowledge of the failure free antenna pattern, a differential formulation of the problem makes possible the diagnosis of the antenna under test from a reduced number of measurements leading to a significant gain of time. The proposed procedures are numerically validated to test an array of waveguides with phase failures. The proposed approaches are easy to implement using off-the-shelf routines and they require much less measurement points than conventional methods based on Fourier transform or matrix inversion.
