Wideband Electrically Small Antenna Internally Loaded With Non-Foster Circuit
Abstract
This paper presents the design of a wideband electrically small antenna using internally loaded Non-Foster circuit. The negative capacitance provided by the circuit can significantly compensate the high reactance of the antenna and match it in a wide bandwidth. However in order to accurately predict the behaviour of the active antenna, the EM model of the non-foster circuit is taken into account in the full wave simulation of the antenna. The loaded antenna having an electrical size ka = 0.3 is matched in a wideband (34%).
