Abstract

This paper presents a new single layer 'Phoenix' reflectarray phase-shifting cell with dual-linear polarization. The unit cell uses two independent sets of concentric slots in order to control the reflected phase independently at 9GHz and 14.5GHz. Simulations show that the unit cell offers a complete phase cycle of 360 degrees at both frequencies, with linear and parallel variation of the phase. A 13 x 13 reflectarray was designed and simulated in order to demonstrate the dual-band behavior of the proposed cell.
