Résumé

TeAs -Se (TAS) chalcogenide (ChG) glasses are suitable candidates for mid-infrared (MIR) applications. In this work, the formation, preparation of high-purity glasses and optical fibers, and the applications of TAS fibers were systematically reviewed. In this review, the thermal, optical properties as well as the fiber performance parameters of TAS glasses were summarized. Finally, the progress of TAS fibers in MIR applications, especially for sensor applications such as food monitoring and medical diagnostic were described in detail.
