Estudios Isotópicos para establecer la dieta de los Camélidos en la Ocupación Post Moche en Plaza 1, Huaca de la Luna, Trujillo-Perú

Abstract : A sample of 43 burials of camelids from different funerary contexts Square 1 in Huaca de la Luna, were subjected to isotopic analysis δ13C and δ15N obtained from bone collagen, of which 21 samples provided valid measurements for having collagen diagenetically optimal for these studies. The isotopic values of these samples come mostly from individuals tender (3 to 9 months), indicating that C4 plants were consuming high nitrogen content, such as "corn" and herbaceous plants arid environments near the sea shore. These data and evidence indicates zooarchaeological therefore a local breeding herds of camelids, which was not only for ritual purposes, but also for the economic livelihood of the local population
