"A Nuanced Feminization of Journalism"
Résumé
This chapter aims to analyze in greater detail the different forms of discrimination experienced by women within journalism, drawing from new statistical data on women in French newsrooms, as revealed in the Global Report on the Status of Women in the News Media and others studies. Specifically, the chapter explores women's occupational status in the news profession in France in relation to political and economic structures, women's role and status in society in general, and national laws governing gender equality.
