Accurate wavenumber measurements for the S-0(0), S-0(1), and S-0(2) pure rotational Raman lines of D-2

Résumé

We present accurate measurements for the wavenumbers of the S-0(0), S-0(1), and S-0(2) pure rotational Raman lines in D-2. Our measurements improve the accuracy of the previously available experimental data by an order of magnitude. They also show complete agreement with the state-of-the-art ab initio calculations of the D-2 rotational splitting, which include both relativistic and Quantum electrodynamics (QED) corrections.
